Novartis Pharmaceuticals Canada, following discussion with Health Canada, has revised its Product Monograph for Tegretol (carbamazepine) to include in the WARNINGS section information about the risks of Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN) and Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS), particularly in patients of Asian descent.
